Fall Family Fun

Last fall I got a chance to photograph Del and Lauri along with their granddaughters out in the valley.

We’d had to reschedule a few times due to the weather becoming nastier. In spite of this, the trees in Regina were still fairly green, but Del assured me that the leaves would be brilliant in the valley when I got there. And boy, he was not wrong.

Skirting the valley’s edge, it’s rare that you visit a client’s property and go “Holy crap!” The weather was rainy and gross in the city so I was worried we’d get drenched while working, but as I got closer, the clouds became less oppressive, and it actually made for the perfect soft light, showing the warm relationships of this family (and the beloved dog, Mighty!). It’s one of those shoots that, as a photographer, you drive away thinking “I’m so glad we didn’t cancel!”
